California Department Fish and Game - April 15, 2009

The ocean commercial and sport fishing, as well as, the Sacramento/San Joaquin river systems are closed to salmon fishing in 2009.  "The Klamath In-River Fishing will remain open and will have a 30,000 salmon quota."  The quota is good until Mid-August. Now is the Time to book !!!

Spring-run salmon on the Klamath river from May through Mid-August and the Fall run salmon and steelhead on the Klamath river from Mid-August through October. This will be one of the only rivers in California where you will be able to fish for salmon this year.  Klamath Kayak Fishing is located at the Klamath's Chinook RV Resort, which happens to be one of the best RV and Tent Camping facility in the Area.
